Place d'Italie is a public square located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, France. It is named after the country of Italy and was designed in the 1960s by architect Michel Andrault and urban planner Pierre Parat as part of a large-scale modernization project of the area. The square is notable for its distinctive tall towers, which feature both residential and commercial spaces, and its large circular fountain in the center. Around the square, there are also several modern buildings, including the Italie 2 shopping center and the Bibliothèque Nationale de France. Place d'Italie is a popular spot for shopping, dining, and meeting friends, and it is also a transportation hub with multiple Metro and bus lines connecting to different parts of the city.
